In an exciting milestone for Navigator College and in response to strong enrolment growth, the college will open a third reception class for the first time, supporting its expanding mid-year intake.

This important addition reflects the confidence families place in Navigator College and responds directly to increasing enrolment demand.

The new class has been intentionally designed to provide a seamless and supported pathway into reception learning, particularly for children commencing school mid-year.

Navigator College principal Andrew Jericho said the additional class reinforced the college’s commitment to nurturing the whole child from the very beginning of their learning journey.

Head of junior school Ally Barclay commented:

“The opening of a third reception class ensures we can deliver a thoughtfully designed, purposeful experience for children who are beginning their school journey mid-year.

We look forward to welcoming this group into our collaborative and adventurous foundation learning community.”

Mr Jericho highlighted the college’s strong focus on wellbeing and partnership with families during this important transition.

“Our experienced educators will work closely with families, placing a strong emphasis on wellbeing, as children build friendships, confidence and a love of inquiry-based learning from the very start.”

He added that commencing reception mid-year offered more than an early start — it provided a meaningful advantage.

Early learning director Kelly Freeman said:

“Entering reception mid-year is more than an early start; it’s a head start to a child’s school learning journey.

This new class will gently bridge preschool play-based experiences with the learning outcomes of reception, while honouring each child’s individual developmental pace.”

The college is proud to offer families tuition fee relief through their newly revised entry assistance package, available for both mid-year reception students and new enrolments across all year levels commencing mid-year in 2026.

“As Navigator College continues to grow, its commitment to its vision remains for every individual to be inspired as learners, flourish as people and care for the world around them. Our vision guides everything we do,” Mr Jericho said.

“We are dedicated to ensuring every beginning at Navigator College is thoughtful, supported, and filled with a world of possibilities.”
