Middle School is an exciting yet challenging time for students as they navigate adolescence and begin to question aspects of their life. We choose to see this season as the most exciting for growth in our young people, focusing on building character and skills that will prepare our young people for their future.

Through active pastoral care, a compassionate, inclusive and caring culture exists in the Middle School. Student wellbeing, self talk, emotions and relationships have a huge impact on young people’s ability to learn. Equipping our students with the skills to manage these areas of life well, not only creates happy kids but enhanced engagement and enjoyment of the schooling experience.
The Year 8 & 9 Camps venture to our local national parks and Adelaide on City Week to embody these goals; building teamwork, leadership, independence, self management and social empathy.
We dedicate a huge focus to supporting students in their transition from Junior to Middle School which is often where students are met with fresh challenges and exciting opportunities.
Feeling a part of a common goal helps children feel they belong. Middle School offers many extracurricular options. Some of these include Pedal Prix, Band, Drama & Dance Performances, Choir, as well as the full complement of interschool sports via WASSAC, SAPSASA and SASSA.
Navigator College implements a behaviour support system of Restorative Practice. We are relentless in restoring relationships, for it is through relationships that community is built. Bullying has no place at Navigator College. It is not who we are, and it is not tolerated.
