About Navigator College

Welcome! We are Navigator College, a community of learners who believe in individuals learning in individual ways.

We value supporting each and every child on their learning journey so they feel secure, confident and excited for a world of possibility.

As a Lutheran co-educational day school we offer education from Daycare through to Year 12. Located in Port Lincoln, we serve families from across the Eyre Peninsula with a convenient bus service and boarding program.

Our way of learning and teaching is based around a holistic, contemporary program where both academic and personal achievement is encouraged and supported.

Thank you for being here and huge warm welcome to you!

At Navigator College we aim to create a space where all students, families and staff feel safe, welcome and excited to be a part of.

WHY NAVIGATOR COLLEGE?

  • It’s proven that students learn faster and perform better in smaller classes where they can receive the individual attention and support they deserve which is why we keep our class sizes small.

  • We’re big believers in the power of a smile and creating a space that all students, families, teachers and staff feel safe, welcome and excited to be a part of. See what our school community has been up to lately.

  • Navigator College campus has been intentionally designed and planned for the future learner with contemporary and innovative spaces. See more.

  • Our Online Parent Portal is updated frequently to ensure great, instant and convenient two-way communication between families and our school. Take a peek inside.

  • Our teachers are essential and pivotal to the success of our school and we work hard to support and nurture them every step of the way. Meet them here!

  • Aligned with international standards, we offer a contemporary way of learning and teaching that helps students ‘learn how they learn best’ while developing the skills and confidence they need to thrive and make a lasting difference in the world. Learn more about the benefits here.

  • In 2021, the Navigator College Board commenced the process of consultation with our College Community to gather a voice for a preferred future for Navigator College. The College appointed Peter Bleckly from Bleckly Consulting as a consultant to support this process and create a clear strategic plan for the future.

We are excited to share a summary of the plan with our extended community.

We thank all members of the community who shared their voice and we look forward to delivering on these goals.

Steve Jude - Principal, Navigator College

Principal’s Welcome

Navigator College is a part of an extensive network of Lutheran schools across Australia, which were first established in association with the settlement of our state. There are now more than one hundred Lutheran Education sites of learning across Australia. Navigator College has rapidly emerged as a provider of consistently high quality education for twenty first century learners.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) world school offering both the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Middle Years Program (MYP), Navigator College provides a world class ELC- Year 12 education right here on the Eyre Peninsula.

A central part of our mission is a commitment to inspire individuals as learners, to create opportunities for students to flourish as people and move them to care for the world around them. Our passionate and dedicated staff help nurture and support students with quality pastoral care programs, and go above and beyond to achieve educational outcomes for students.

To witness the dynamic and vibrant opportunities we offer at Navigator College, we invite you to tour our college, talk to our staff, students and families and experience a Navigator College education for yourself.
