Welcome back to Term 2

Hi all and welcome to Term 2!
I Trust that you have had a refreshing holiday season and are excited to return for an inspiring Term 2.

On a staffing note, we welcome Miss Sam Hickman to Year One as a replacement for Belinda Keryn. We also welcome Mr Todd Slade as a replacement for Mr Guy Bagshaw who is on leave for the term.

It was great to begin our term with a number of our student leaders attending ANZAC dawn services across the Eyre Peninsula. A sign of respect and gratitude for the humble service that many men and women from previous generations so courageously and sacrificially gave.

As we begin this term, we do so with a focus on the value of humility. This quote sums up the value of humility.

Humility = “the noble choice to forgo your status, deploy your resources or use your influence for the good of others before yourself.”

Dickson, J., 2011. Humilitas. Grand Rapids: Zondervan, p.24.

Stay tuned as we learn more about this value as the term continues.

A reminder that during Term 2 and 3, students are required to wear their winter uniform. Please see our uniform policy on our website for the latest uniform guidelines.

A reminder also to continue following the government’s latest advice with regards to COVID-19. This includes staying away if unwell, self-isolating if recently returning from hotspot areas and only returning to school once a negative COVID-19 test has been received.

Thank you for your support in continuing to work together to keep our community safe.

Blessings for a superb term.
