VET (Vocational Education and Training) at Navigator in 2021
In 2021 Navigator College has the enviable position to be able to offer a myriad of Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities to our Senior School students.
The courses to be studied in 2021 include;
Fitness, Individual Support (aged care or disability), Early Childhood Education and Care, Construction (Cert 2 and 3), Aquaculture, Maritime Studies, Kitchen Operations, Aviation, Animal Studies, Sport and Recreation and Commercial Cookery.
These pathways are for students looking to enter the world of work with highly desirable skills, knowledge and qualifications once they complete their SACE. They may be studying these here on the Navigator College campus, travelling locally or intrastate for block weeks to learn their desired information.
We have already started our Certificate 3 in Fitness which is delivered on campus to students from all over the lower Eyre Peninsula. We also offer on site (in our Trade Skills Centre) a Certificate 3 in Individual Support which is a locally needed certificate for many of the aged care and disability jobs available. Other courses range from Aviation at Mid North Christian College to Animal Studies at Gilles Plains Tafe. Students have a vast range of certificates to choose from and if they are keen to study it then we will do everything we can to help make it happen.
Please chat to our VET coordinator if you wish to see your child maybe entering this pathway.
