Navigator College DECD Bus user families and families who reside in outer areas of Port Lincoln.

Please take note of the following important information regarding travel to/from school via a School Bus in 2022.

It is essential that you complete this form for your child to be guaranteed a seat in 2022, regardless of your approved application for this year.

There has been some restructuring of buses and a new understanding of how the DECDS policy for eligible travel is to be interpreted.   This new understanding means that more independent schooling families (Navigator College and St Joseph’s School) will become eligible to apply for these buses. This makes it very important that you complete and submit this form as soon as possible.

Eligible students for bus travel
Primary and secondary students attending ‘non-government schools’ and who reside 5km or more by the shortest most practical route from the nearest appropriate government school, have a right to use existing bus services to travel to that Government school.  Once these students have arrived at the Port Lincoln Primary School, they are then able to access the Navigator College transfer bus to/from Navigator College daily at a cost of $1.00 per day. Please find below link to complete the online application for your child/ren to use the DECD Buses (yellow school buses) that pick up and drop off from Port Lincoln Outer areas for 2022.

Once your form is completed, a confirmation of your child’s bus travel application approval will follow. A service cost of $60.00 per year, per student is invoiced to the College from DECD. The College will then seek reimbursement of this amount from the parent/caregiver of the student using the service.
