Orienteering is a fun family friendly activity and is suitable for all ages. “Sprint orienteering” described short fast-paced events held in very runnable areas such as Navigator College. You can compete on your own or in small groups. The sport involves interpreting a map of the school and planning and carrying out route choices whilst running or walking as fast as you can (or at your own pace!) to complete the course. Lincoln Orienteers uses electronic timing, and each competitor or group will be supplied with an “SI stick” to record their course
If you are planning on attending, please email the course co-ordinator Phil Clem with your choice of course and name of competitor/s. This will help us to prepare the competition software and maps before the event and ensure efficient entry on the day. Phil’s email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Sausage sizzle and cakes available for purchase after the event
