This Thursday Eyre Peninsula broadcasters Magic 89.9 and 5CC will be hosting a radiothon, Thumbs Up For Jack that aims to raise $10,000 in 10 hours.
The radiothon will run from 6am – 4pm on Thursday 9th May with both stations broadcasting live all day bringing in donations from the community.
Thumbs up for Jack is for, young Jack Kemp, who has spent the majority of his life battling a rare form of brain cancer that has seen him under go 5 major surgeries.
The Ronald McDonald house has provided a huge amount of support to Jack and his family over his journey in and out of hospitals.
Listeners can get involved and make a donation to the cause by calling the station on 8682 5000.
A Go Fund Me page will also be launched on Thursday morning of May 9th for anyone looking to donate.
Locals can also come into the station to give cash donations from 6am this Thursday.
