NEWS FROM THE COLLEGE COUNCIL

Health & Wellbeing Centre
As many of you are aware Navigator College is working hard behind the scenes to provide the College with a Health & Wellbeing Centre. This two-court Gymnasium complex is in the final stages of planning and approval. We are now only awaiting a signature from the Federal Education Minister to approve the portion of government funding before we are able to call for tenders to construct the building. This is very exciting for the College, as it will offer an undercover facility for many parts of College life.

Night of Nights
What a fantastic event held at the Croatian Club on the 27th August.  It was great to see so many of the College community enjoying a night out – and helping with some valuable fundraising. The Night of Nights raised an impressive $11,436.82.  These dollars will be put towards several projects within the College. We will keep you informed of where you can see the fundraising dollars spent in the near future.

Future Directions
Many of you would be aware that our Principal Neville Grieger, has been facilitating meetings within our College community focusing on Navigator’s strategic plan and our future directions. These have been conducted with students, staff, parents and College Council, with all feedback being collated into a working document. At our last College Council meeting, the council unanimously endorsed the Future Directions working document.  It is exciting to be part of a progressive and pro-active procedure and look forward to work within it.
