Navigator College are providing their facilities to assist local TAFE students who are pursing a career in nursing.

Navigator College are sharing the Trades Skills Centre’s Allied Health Room with local TAFE students who are involved in the Enrolled Nursing Program in a workshop, which will take place from September 19th to the 23rd. Normally these students would travel to Whyalla to take part in this kind of training. Navigator, St Joes and the High School are working together to investigate some further options and training that can be offered to the local young workforce. They want to show students they don’t have to go to Adelaide to purse training and career paths they want. Navigator College VET coordinator, David Hickey said “None of us want our best and brightest heading to Adelaide before their time” and “We are grateful for the opportunity to work with other schools and TAFE to benefit the students and the town as a whole.”
