In Year 1 we have been inquiring into animals and how our actions can impact on their survival. We have been very lucky to have Michael from Wild on Eyre bring some animals in to the classroom and share his knowledge with us all.
We have had the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat and some of us were great risk takers and got to hold some animals, including guinea pigs, bearded dragons and even snakes.
We have also been looking at what threats some endangered animals are facing. We used De Bonos Red thinking hat to express our feelings about some of these threats. The year 1’s have been very sad, frustrated and confused especially about land clearing, pollution and hunting.
