The Senior School is a dynamic learning community which offers many opportunities for the students to build on the foundations established in the earlier years of their schooling. In the senior years the students make academic choices that make a significant impact on their careers. Students are encouraged to explore their values in a Christian context while developing the capacity to make ethical decisions. Navigator College offers a substantive curriculum and opportunity for students to build on their personal strengths to become active participants in the greater community.
The Senior School at Navigator College encompasses Years 10 to 12. In these years the students are able to choose one of three pathways to a future beyond Secondary Schooling.
A University entry pathway is supported by many and varied subjects to direct students toward an ATAR score for University admission.
A general TAFE preparation pathway is the second pathway that allows students to undertake specific studies in their areas of interest.
The third pathway is the Vocational Educational and Training opportunity, allowing students to complete all or part of Certificate level studies or a School Based Apprenticeship while completing their Secondary studies and gaining their SACE Certificate.
We support the student’s studies with many cultural, leadership and service opportunities, believing that participation in these is conducive to growth as a person in these critical years. If you would like to know more about Senior School please arrange for an interview where we can discuss the varied opportunities we can offer your maturing adult.
