Middle Schooling begins in a period of adolescence where students experience many changes within themselves. We are an authorised IB World School providing the opportunity for our students to engage in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme in Years 6 – 9. It is an exciting time for students because they are beginning to challenge who they are and question aspects of their life. Therefore there is an understanding and an acknowledgement that students will learn differently during this time of development and will enjoy a multitude of personal experiences. During this time their learning experiences will be unique and individual as students engage in their educational journey.
The Middle School educational journey begins in Year 6 and concludes in Year 9. The journey is supported by the staff but allows the students to stimulate points of personal interest along the way and to share findings with others in a collaborative, educational environment. Our Middle School staff support the students in their daily walk through a genuine care and concern for their wellbeing. This is achieved by providing pastoral support in each of the classes. Through our pastoral care program the students develop a keen sense of community both within and beyond the college community by active participation and community involvement. In essence we strive to enable the students to become the best they can.
